2011 bmw x3 review


Driving dynamics  with a focus on technology, efficiency and connectivity. BMW X3 2011 using the full suite of modern, larger BMW’s design on the grille and looks great. There is a strong character line below the headlamp cluster that has been softened, and certainly more square headlamp surround.

The end result is strangely awkward front fascia, as if sculpted designer new BMW X3. X3 is slightly larger than the outgoing model it, get 3.1 inches long (183.0 total), 1.1 inches wide (74.1 inches) and 0.5 inches tall (65.4 inches). In fact, front headroom and rear legroom is actually a decrease for 2011. At first glance, the X3′s interior feels a bit cramped for both driver and front passenger, partly due partly to the center console is wider and more sculpted, downward sloping dash. Rear seat passenger space is not so generous as the size of  the X3 that will make you believe, and the rear seat can not move forward or backward something that would be helpful, especially when longer-legged man sitting in  front. xDrive28i and xDrive35i, using the same gasoline powerplants that we enjoy in the 3 Series sedan. New X3 hits dealerships later this year with the majority of sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2011.


The entry fee is $ 37,625 for the xDrive28i model and $ 41,925 for the xDrive35i model, and in true BMW fashion, there will be a wide selection that includes such things as sports package list, and premium comfort.Prices for the BMW X3 2011 will not be announced until shortly before the vehicles go on sale. However, BMW has recognized the need to broaden the spectrum of X3′s price competitive. X3 2010 has a base price of $ 39,725, including $ 875 destination fee BMW. (All rates in this study include the cost objectives producer) Popular options include Panoramic moonroof ($ 1,350), navigation system ($ 1,800), and leather upholstery ($ 1,450); more expensive packages, which are grouped some of these and other features are also available. The 2011 BMW X3 will come with more luggage space and a new generation which has the advantage of 3.3 inches long overall, with 0.6 inches added to the wheelbase. Extra wide by 1.1 inches, and height 1.4 inch. With the winter break coming in like a hurricane the Bavarians are taking stuff slow. After slightly updating the 1 Series and the X5 for the U.S. they chose to slightly update the BMW X3.The so called SAV BMW X3 will be offered in 2011 with the option of an M Sport package.

The Bavarians sell this sort of thing to those not fortunate enough to have an M powered BMW but who are still willing to get some of that magic.The 2011 BMW X3 M Sport package will feature additional options and features such as the M Aerodynamic package, sports suspension, new 18 inch alloy wheels and some tweaks to the drivetrain.

The BMW X3′s M Sport drivetrain tweaks feature a new entry to the xDrive capable SAV called Performance Control.Sadly, the new aggressive M Sport look for the 2011 BMW X3 will only be available in the U.S. starting January with the rest of the world probably needing to wait some considerable time.As far as power is concerned, the Americans still only get the BMW X3 xDrive28i and the X3 xDrive35i options which means you get the same basic 3.0 liter inline six engine but in the bigger option you get direct injection and turbocharging.

M Sport kit brings all of the usual upgrades to the X3. First off, you can see a slightly more aggressive body kit, with color-matching front and rear aprons. 

The exterior appearance is completed by the 19-inch M alloy wheels, which are bolted to a lowered suspension setup. On the inside, customers will get the standard three-spoke M steering wheel, as well as an M-badged gear shifter.
If you have opt for the xDrive35i version, with the standard eight-speed automatic gearbox, the M package throws in paddle shifters behind the wheel.

The new interiors look typically BMW and are a huge improvement over the old X3.
The switch-gear, vents, gear stick and the i-Drive controls are all sourced from the new 5-series’ and the X5′s parts bin.The instrument panel is straight out of the new 5-series.The steering wheel on the test car was from the old X3 but the real car would get a new steering wheel with paddle shifts.

The two cup holders looked out of place in an otherwise opulent cabin.The new BMW X3 would borrow a lot of styling cues from its bigger stable mate, the X5.


The 1st generation X3 sold well but now with very capable competitors like the Audi Q5, the Mercedes GLK and the Volvo XC60, BMW’s crossover SUV looks outdated and boring.
